The Top 10 Things to Look Out for in a Work from Home Network Marketing Opportunity!

Home
You probably hear all the doom and gloom of the work from home opportunities online. Tons of people are swearing them off left and right as scams. Network marketing, perhaps one of the best business models in the world where people actually get paid for their efforts is often targeted.

One of the main reasons is fairly simple. People usually (and I do say usually) don’t get burned by the Network marketingcompany itself, but rather by the people that they choose to partner with. This is a shame, because had they been diligent and found partners that were really doing what they should be doing and actually mentoring these people for success, they would certainly have a whole new outlook on the situation. It can be said though that for every person with a “scam” story, there’s tons more with success stories that you just haven’t had the pleasure to hear. Bad news travels at a much higher rate than good news…always.

I do feel for the people who have had a bad experience with network marketing. It just doesn’t have to happen like that. The only way to avoid it, the way to cut your risks down 98% is to simply do your homework.

That being said, here are the top 10 things that you should look out for when searching for the perfect network marketing, or work at home opportunity for you!

1) The Company: Ask all of the Who, What, When, and Where questions about the company, and don’t stop until you have all of the answers. Check with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for any bad consumer experiences.

2) Products: Look for a company that distributes an innovative product that’s not just a “me too” product. Your best bet is to have a consumable product which increases re-order activity. Find testimonials and actual consumer reviews on the product to see what the results have been like for others. Naturally there will be some bad reviews since everyone reacts differently and some people just aren’t happy until they’re saying something bad, but you have to balance all of that out and use your own good judgment.

3) Compensation Plan: A good, fair compensation plan will – and should – have the potential to pay you extremely well for your efforts and success; where a poor compensation plan can leave you spinning your wheels with no reward in sight.

4) Leadership: What are the owners and other big guns of the company actually doing for the company? What are there rolls within the company? What are there backgrounds? It’s probably a very good thing if at least one of the head people knows the Network Marketing business model well.

5) Strong Upline: Look to be directly under someone who is obviously, and proven to be successful in the business, as well as with the very opportunity that you’re looking at. Some have made their fortunes with other companies, and that’s all well and good, but you want to make sure that they were able to use those same skills with this opportunity as well. Be sure that they are willing to spend the time to train you, and that they have a system in place that makes them money consistently. In network marketing systems are everything!

6) Company Finances: You want a company with a good, solid financial standing. Debt free and profiting, this way they can sustain and weather any unforeseen storms that may come there way.

7) Reputation: It’s not hard to find skeletons anymore since the internet has become mainstream. Check around both online and off and make sure there are many more good reviews and opinions about the company than bad ones.

8) Global Reach: Is the product available in other countries? With the Internet, your potential market has expanded greatly and your best bet is to have a company where both the product and opportunity are available in other parts of the world as well. These segue’s well to number 9 which is…

9) Timing: You’ll want to find a company that is somewhere in the middle of being established and not in its infancy, but not so old that the market has been saturated.

10) Ethics: Of course you want a company whose principals and values are on par with yours. This creates a type of synergy that is impossible to find when that bond is not there.
