Who Said The Glass Is Half Empty?

So, here I am thinking about what it is that people mean when they talk about the "glass being half empty versus half full".

I guess it's about your view, sort of like do feel that you've got enough in your life...or is there never enough?

So what's your view? How do you see your life and your business? Do you have enough income in your life? Do you have enough clients? Enough vacation time? Enough clothes? Enough time with your family? Enough wellness and good health? Enough personal "freedom"? Are you running out of "prospects" to introduce your business to?

It's amazing that probably 90% of the working world is basically unhappy, unfulfilled, underpaid, underappreciated, overworked, disappointed and they don't see a way out of their "DILEMMA". I call that the RAT RACE...everyone's trying to ESCAPE THE RAT RACE.






OK, so let's get back to YOUR VIEW. Just how do you see yourself, your life, and your business?
Are you the type of person who says "I have nobody to talk to about my business", "I need more people to speak to", "where do I find more prospects"?

You know, it all comes down to how you see things. Recently, a new team member in my business (network marketing), said to me, David I don't know what to do, I have nobody left to speak to...I've spoken to everyone I know. And then I asked the MAGIC QUESTION...tell me when you look out your window at that beautiful high rise building across the street, how many people do you know there? And in your lovely little town or city, how many people live there...and how many do you know?

If the answer is something like "I don't know anyone in that building", or "I only know about 16 people in my town (out of 60,000)...then let's just get reaslistic here friends. How serious are you about finding prospects? Because if you were very serious, you'd be realizing that there's an entire building in front of you filled with people you don't YET know...and that you still have 59,984 people in your town/city for you to get to know! Now just how serious were you?

You see my friends...to me, the glass was never half empty...and it was never half full...I see above this glass a PITCHER filled with water and an endless stream of water being poured into the glass...and the glass is OVERFLOWING with water.

Yes, it's all about ABUNDANCE thinking. I truly believe that there's enough of everthing in this world for everyone who wants somthing. Our world is so rich with abundance of people, abundance of food, abundance of material things, abundance of money, abundance of wellness, abundance of everything that each of us can think or dream of...our universe provides all this for us. All WE have to do is believe that we are deserving of it, want it badly enough, sometimes be willing to sacrifice for it, and make it materialize into our lives.

So, the lesson for today is; what you think about you can materialize into your life, it's part of the teachings and philosophy of Napoleon Hill from his very wonderful book called "THINK AND GROW RICH".

We so often see people who have gotten themselves into a life that they just don’t get excited about anymore. Usually they work a job that they really don’t want to wake up for, and basically just dread the same old routine, and doing the same old carpool to work thing.
It’s prevalent in every part of the world and within every human. For those lucky enough to have found what they love to do, which really makes it not even work anymore, then God Bless them. We often toil languidly trying to figure out what it is that we like to do and end up waking up one morning to the dreaded alarm clock to send you off to the 9 to 5. It’s a noble living, and those who work hard to raise their families deserve respect. They also deserve more and they know it.
But here’s the trap. The trap that people fall into is building a lifetime foundation of not doing what they love, and usually not enough money to deal with it. They then end up looking for the gold at the end of the rainbow, whether online or otherwise. Everyone wants to know about quick ways to make money. Are they out there?
The short answer is yes, there are quick ways to make money. The thing however is that quick is relative. What’s quick to you? Could you have $5000 a month coming in by tomorrow evening? Most likely not, unless you’re doing something illegal at least! Could you have it in a week? Again, highly unlikely! What you could have though is a way to make quick money if you were to consider the fact that it would take hard work, it would take stepping out of your comfort zone, and it would take lots of fortitude and discipline maybe be making $1000 a month in 90 days.
That’s a realistic goal, and though you should always have large goals, you should also be willing to take the logical steps to those goals. In other words, you can’t make $100 until you’ve made a dollar. You can’t make $1000 dollars until you’ve made $100 dollars.
The key is to find the right vehicle to earning that money, learn the systems and skills to earn it, and be able to repeat and reproduce the results. The quick way to earn money is more about you than you might think.
Now the vehicle. There are now more ways than ever to earn money, especially with the internet. There are Ebay business, internet marketing business, all sorts of stuff. You could even become a writer strictly by writing for people online. The problem with these ways of making money however, is that they don’t produce what’s known as a residual income. This means an income that you earn over and over again for something you’ve done once. Much like a writer writes a book and then sells over and over again.
Probably the best and most obtainable way for someone to begin earning a residual income, which is also a quick way to make money if done right, is to find a good well established Network Marketing company and join as an independent distributor.
The key is to find a solid company, but even more so to find an upline that is willing to train you right and not just leave you dangling in the ocean full of sharks. Sponsor Or Recruiter…choose wisely!

I was thinking about how so many people in the MLM industry are sort of hit by the recruiters who come in like a "whirlwind" on a recruiting campaign and then they're gone. So I decided to enlighten all my friends out there in the industry and really express my opinion about the difference between a recruiter versus a sponsor...OK so here goes.

One of the biggest challenges in the MLM industry is not just choosing the right company/opportunity to join, but is choosing your direct sponsor. I can tell you with certainty after spending 20 years in this amazing industry that although finding the right company, product and compensation plan are an integral part of success, finding the right SPONSOR is paramount!

And further, while there are many excellent recruiters, there are very few truly good sponsors! And frankly, many of you are already a victim of the “hit and run” tactics that plague our industry.

Here’s the bottom line; A RECRUITER is someone who brings you in, then quickly forgets you even exist. A SPONSOR is someone who works with you, hand in hand, to help you achieve success. It's like the difference between night and day!

And just what is the #1 quality you’re looking for in your sponsor? It’s Leadership. You need to decide if this person is someone who will be your “coach, mentor and teacher”. Are they a person who can “add value” to you and your future MLM team? Will they be there to support and motivate and inspire you and your team? Do you have respect for that person?

Many times your sponsor has just entered your MLM company or industry 30 minutes before you did… and that’s ok if that person is someone who you’re comfortable with and can give you what you need to help build your business. Remember, there are many people in your MLM company if this person is not someone you feel can be your “partner and mentor” in business.

When you speak with your sponsor is he/she encouraging you, motivating and inspiring you, and is 100% upbeat about your MLM Company and products. Remember, many times you’ll be having this person on the phone with you and your prospects with 3 way calls… so it’s important to have a person whom you respect and admire as well as being the “expert” on the phone.

Seek out the right sponsor that fits you and your personal needs… you should “interview” this person like when you’re looking to hire someone to perform a service for you… make sure they meet all the criteria for you that defines whom you are looking for as your sponsor.

Can you imagine how embarrassing it would be to get a really great prospect on the phone with someone whom you’re choosing as your sponsor and they sound either not qualified or knowledgeable about your company, products or compensation plan? How would that person be able to be your “mentor, coach or teacher”?
